What we believe
Honest defaults
Software should default to safe, reversible behaviors. If something can go wrong when the user isn't paying attention, it eventually will.
Trust over tricks
We don't like software that obscures what it's doing. Good products earn trust by being transparent about their tradeoffs.
Quality as craft
Shipping something with intention beats shipping fast and patching later. That doesn't mean slow — it means thinking before doing.
Small and real
We'd rather ship one well-made thing than a roadmap full of half-finished features. Sugarhouse Tech is intentionally small.
Useful by default
We ask: would a thoughtful user actually want this? If the answer is "probably not", we don't build it.
Low-BS communication
We write like humans, explain what things actually do, and avoid startup language that confuses more than it clarifies.
